Sunflower Fields Forever

Happy Thursday All! Last weekend I visited the infamous Colby Farm sunflower field. I have been hearing about this field for a couple of years now and my friend, Julia, actually grew up near it. So she, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, and I ventured out to view this golden field and of course, take many aesthetic photos.

Um when we got there, you could see a sea of people surrounding the field. This was at 10:30am on a Saturday. People from far and wide were definitely taking advantage of this glorious back drop. I saw people snapping pictures with their dogs, some had props for baby photos, and of course bloggers! We all had the same idea last weekend and I’m so glad my friends, my boyfriend, and I went the day and time we did because from what I saw on Facebook, there was 45minutes of traffic getting into Colby Farm on Sunday. That’s so crazy! It was a beautiful sight to see, would I go again? Maybe…I was sneezing up a storm after our visit. And there were so many bees. But they just wanted that pollen…you know? Overall seeing the field was cool and spending time with my boyfriend and friends in Newburyport was even cooler (#cheese).

So the dress I’m wearing in my photos is from a local Boston company called, Mint Julep. They have two locations: Coolidge Corner, Brookline and Harvard Square, Cambridge.Every year, and tell me if you do this too, I will buy one item, usually a dress, that is my dress of the summer. It’s the one article of clothing that during the warm season you will see me wear almost every day because I love it so much. That was this dress for me this year. It is the most comfortable, flowy, “on trend” dress. Gingham was huge this year and I fell in love. I called it my fruit picking dress all summer long because I was desperate to wear it as my strawberry or blueberry picking outfit. That didn’t happen, but at least I got to pose with it in some sunflowers as one last summer activity featuring my favorite dress of the season from my closet.

Also just wanted to quickly talk about my purse. ISN’T IT SO FUN?!? IT’S PINK AND SCREAMS ME (ALINE)!!!! I actually almost returned the bag because I wasn’t sure if it really fit with my wardrobe, but my sister convinced me otherwise and I’m so glad she did. The purse itself is soft and has almost felt-like material. The details are really cute too with the pom poms and embroidery. You can find links and more details about my outfit below!

Outfit Details: dress – Mint Julep | earrings – monki/asos | shoes – newlook/asos | purse – skinnydip/asos
